Founded in the summer of 2001, Allison Creek Farm started as a briar patch and has transformed the property into the horse friendly facility that you can visit today. Every feature of the property was designed with the health and safety of the horses in mind.
ACF now has a total of 20 acres of pasture, divided and with designated high use areas to control erosion and wear. There is a 60′ round pen with solid walls and a 200′ x 100′ arena, both with deep sand footing.
The Training Barn features 6 stalls, two saddling bays, and a small covered riding area. Designed with your horse’s mental and physical health and safety in mind, the stall footing is hoof and joint friendly. The open layout mimics a horse’s natural habitat, where horses would graze or doze in a small tight group.
The tie-out patience poles are built in our shop of a very sturdy 100% steel and limit horse’s movement while allowing freedom of movement. Over time, the design calms the horse’s fight or flight nature that can flare when confined and teaches them to stand quietly.
The most popular feature of the property is the Confidence Course. One of the best of it’s kind in the southeast, the course features 8 permanent obstacles and many mobile obstacles. The course is designed to build the horse and rider’s confidence in themselves and each other.
The remainder of the 40 acres is network of maintained trails that meander through the confidence course, surrounding forest, and down to the creek.
